Different types of Commonly used Aluminium Alloy Sheets
7075 T6 Aluminium Sheet
T6
temper 7075 has an ultimate tensile strength of 510–540 MPa (74,000–78,000 psi)
& yield strength of at least 430–480 MPa (63,000–69,000 psi). It has a
failure elongation of 5–11%. Aluminium Alloy Sheet is the most widely used form
of Aluminium Alloy. It is commonly used for construction, aerospace &
defence applications. The T6 temper is usually achieved by homogenizing the
cast 7075 at 450 °C for several hours, quenching, & then aging at 120 °C
for 24 hours. This yields the peak strength of the 7075 alloy. Plus Metals are
leading aluminium sheet supplier in India.
2024 T3 Aluminium Sheet
2024
aluminum alloy is composed mainly of aluminum, copper & magnesium. In
addition it includes other metallic elements like iron, silicon, manganese
& zinc. 2024 is one of the most popular high-strength alloys & is the
predominant 2000 series aircraft alloy.The temperature is higher than 125 ° C,
& the strength of the 2024 alloy is greater than that of the 7075 alloy.
Widely used in aircraft structures, rivets, truck hubs, propeller components
& other structural components. To know more about other aluminium sheets,

2024 T4 Aluminium Sheet
2024
alloy is one of the best known of the highest strength aluminum alloys. With
its high strength & excellent fatigue resistance, it is used to advantage
on structures & parts where good strength-to-weight ratio is desired. It is
readily formed in the annealed condition & may be subsequently heat
treated. Arc or gas welding is generally not recommended, although this alloy
may be spot, seam or flash welded. Applications: aircraft structural
components, aircraft fittings, hardware, truck wheels & parts for the transportation
industry. Aluminium sheet stockiest in India has best quality of aluminum
alloys sheets
